I blame Millie....but really I thank her!

My friend Millie posted a link to a darling dress on her fun finder blog. I thought that it might not be too hard to make so I sat down the other night while Clint was teaching night class and whipped it up. I made up a pattern on newspaper (thanks mom) and I had to redo the sleeves, but other than that it was pretty easy. I think it turned out pretty cute, how about you?

Thanks Millie!

Why, you're very welcome! It turned out darling, I must say! But you always do such nice work. I have the fabric for mine. But I haven't even started drawing up a pattern, let alone sewing anything. It is on the ever growing list of "projects to complete." But I'm glad you were inspired and made one!

Yes, the dress is really cute, but that face is to die for!

I continue to be impressed by all the little creations you are able to make. I know your maiden name is Stewart. But are you related to Martha Stewart? :)

Love it! I can't believe you just whipped it up.

Very cute dress!
Okay so here's the deal. All you have to do is buy felt. I got mine at Micheals. They sell the small felt squares that are around 11 inches long.
Since Gabe's head is 20 inches around I just bought two pieces of the small felt and lined them together. I folded them in 1/2 so that I had an idea of what the middle was. Then I started sewing from the bottom corner to the folded part of the two felt pieces. While I was sewing I curved it a little so it wasn't a straight line to the middle. Then I did the same thing to the other half of the felt.(same side)
ONce I was done I cut the left over material and then I turned the hat inside out and folded the bottom up and hot glued the feather to the back. Pretty simple. If this doesn't make sense let me know..
By the way, is Chani going to be tinkerbell? If so then great minds do think alike!
