Calling for help!

We've been invited to Thanksgiving dinner at a colleague of Clint's. Ironically, they live across the street and 3 doors down. I've never met them. I've been asked to take dessert. So, please, tell me what to take. I know, the obvious is pie, but what kind? Should I do something fancy (chocolate, key lime, a cream of some sort) or traditional? Should I do fancy traditional (cream cheese pumpkin, chocolate pumpkin)? Please help me decide! Oh, and remember, I live in the south. Thanks!

Man, those all sound good. I think my best bet would have to be something with cream. Don't southern people like rich and creamy stuff? That's what I would do.
