We had a very quiet Thanksgiving. It was just the 5 of us and it was so nice. In the morning, Clint and Emery went to play in the ward Turkey Bowl and then went out to shoot guns with a friend. They had a great time! Instead of turkey we ate these (chicken broth instead of wine) and yams with apples and cinnamon butter sauce. We also had stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn, and fresh rolls. For dessert we had jello popcorn. It was a great day.
On Saturday, we went to the Snowy Range with some friends to harvest a Christmas tree. It was super fun, and even Saya was a good sport. Chani left her coat at McDonalds, which is why she looks like a lumberjack (thanks Linnaea for the sweatshirt and jacket). She would have had to sit in the car otherwise. Emery needs new snow pants, the ones we have for him were like snow shorts, so Linnaea came to the rescue again with some wool socks that kept the snow off his legs. (Side note, of course, when I went to Target to get some that match is coat, they are out. Must order some online, soon!)
Molly loves snow and loved the mountains. She was able to run and play and have so much fun. She even got to see some deer. We weren't able to get very far up the mountain (it's Clint's case for "bigger" tires) but we found a lot of very nice trees. Ours fits perfectly in our space and despite a poor light job (by me) it looks pretty good. Now, if I can just remember to water it for the next 3 weeks.
