It sounds like the title of a childrens book. It's not, though. We've been dabbeling in the potty training arena. For a while Emery would scream and run to avoid the potty. That has ceased, mostly because we've had a little success. While he won't pee on the potty, he will poop on it. I have not changed a poopy diaper on Emery in more than a week. We've amassed quite a collection of cars, and not just the 97 cent hot wheels. No, no, dad bought a Cars car, and now we're up to about a dozen of them. We've changed strategy now. When Emery goes on the potty he gets candy. It's working well. If he makes it all week with no poop accidents, we'll get him a "go-go" (motorcycle). Yesterday he cried for a long time because we weren't going to Wal-Mart right then to pick out the perfect blue motorcycle. The color will probably change, but on Saturday we'll be there, on the car isle, picking out the perfect "go-go" for a job well done.

Yay Emery! Good job going potty! That's big news. So Molly has slept through the night the last three nights. It only took two nights of letting her cry and she never cried for more than about five minutes. So I think I was the culprit in her being up so much. Really all it took was not feeding her anymore and she is fine with it. Thanks for keeping track of us on this. How are moving preparations going?
Great Job! I say the pooping is the real challenge anyway -- and the thing I dislike changing, so let the potty keep going in the diaper! That makes for easy trips to the grocery store.
Chloe was the opposite -- she'd potty but not poop. All it took to convince her was to buy the Little Mermaid movie and hang it on the wall in the bathroom. We told her when she went poop, we'd take it down and she could watch it. It only hung up there for about half a day.
Hi Becca, I'm glad sleep is better at your house! Moving stuff is coming along. We're having a yard sale on Saturday and I've been packing a box or two a day. I think we'll be ready when the time comes.
Julie, that's too funny about The Little Mermaid. Whatever works, huh? And I spoke too soon, Emery had a poop accident yesterday, so our week of waiting for a go go starts over today.
Yeah!! That is so exciting. Life is much easier with just one child in a diaper. Hope it contiunes to go well for you guys!!
