I'm sorry that the posts have been seldom and lacking pictures. It's a crazy time around here with all the packing and surviving before the move. We are all well, and the appraisal came through on the house, so now we're just waiting for closing day. That will all be done through the mail. We contracted to not take possession of the house for five days after closing, so we close on the 25th and we will leave Chadron on the 29th. We will arrive in Orange on the 31st and my parents will also arriving then. Good times.
I will leave you with an Emery funny before I get back to making dinner. Yesterday I moved all the chairs into the kitchen to vacuum under the table (I hate having carpet there). I hopped into the shower after that since Chani was napping. When I came into the kitchen, I found Emery with a chair pushed up to the fridge and a sand bucket upside down on the chair. He was also standing on the chair trying to step up onto the bucket. He was trying to reach the snack basket that sits on the fridge. He might not make it to Texas...he has NO fear!

BTW, our kitchen has carpet in the dining area too...who thought that would be a good idea?
good luck with your move- we should be back in Chadron around August 3-5. Sad we are barely missing you by like a week! Good luck in Texas though! I'm glad we both have blogs to stay in touch! :)
