the boy quilt
I picked two distinct quilt patterns for this baby, and since we're having a surprise, I'm making two quilts. The boy quilt top is finished, I completed it yesterday. I'll take it to Idaho when we go this summer and my mom (and hopefully my sisters too) will help hand quilt it. The same goes for the girl quilt, but I haven't purchased fabric yet, because that's something I need help with, and I haven't had anyone to help me pick fabric yet. It was hard picking out this fabric, and I'm sure the shoppers at JoAnn's thought I was crazy when I was asking for their advice. This is the first quilt that I've pieced without my mom's help, and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.I had a hard time getting a clear shot of the robots, but they are very crisp and bright in real life.
A close up of the piecing work. The pattern was very easy to follow.

Cute!
good job! I like it!
Great quilt!!! How fun to have two different quilts instead of a neutral gender one. Great idea. I love those robots, too. Darling!
Love it! I'm game to go fabric shopping anytime. Did you see that a Joann's is opening up in the mall?
Sooo cute Jill! Love it! And that robot fabric is the same fabric I found here at our walmart and made a pillowcase for Paul Thomas :)
I've not put a completed pic on my blog since this post - http://bingobonnie.blogspot.com/2011/05/walmart-fabric.html but as you can tell from the photo he was in love with the robots!
Hope all of you are doing well! Love from Texas! ~bonnie
